I have nothing really pontificate about today, no deep insights or angry accusations to level against people/society. Instead of sharing my wisdom, I am going to post a couple pieces of poetry. Virtually every single person who has a website thinks they are poet, and wishes for everyone else to know it. Well, call me a lemming and a leave in disgust, or actually read my words and be duly impressed. Either way I am poet who definitely knows it. (God I suck today.......next thing you know I will be adding a guest book so I can have my friends sign it and make me feel special...I am like a 14 year old girl)
Terminally Alive
The behemoth that is my life
Hath hastened my descent to hell
Each moment brings a new found pain
I hear salvations voice as if it were a silent bell
The hourglass is nearly spent
Hours become seconds, minutes become days
What does a man say when everything is done
When all his life has passed by as if in a painful haze
Judgment was passed in the mother's warm cradle
Justification came next in the selfishness of yesteryear
It is time to accept the inevitable damnation
I shall cast out this festering fear
If I am to die, it is because I do so live
Everyday was a new misery yet flowers still bloomed
And winter did lead to springs morning dew
Perhaps I am harsh and wallowing only in the gloom
But what would you do
If every tomorrow tantalizingly teased a new found doom
Today is just another Yesterday
I miss her more everyday
She was my life
The woman I laid with each night
We said all those things that lovers say
What day did the laughter fade
When did our smiles shrink, and frowns grow
If only I could undo the damage that was sown
The body moves on, the heart may heal
But, my soul will never be,
where it once was
When one has found love,
everything else is naught
It fills your soul, as if drinking from an endless draught
Its absence has caused a fell drought
Now it is over, nothing left to say
Tomorrow is just another day
